Cork City got their revenge on September 1, beating Cwmbran Town 2-1 in Ireland.

This return-match result meant that despite the win at home, Cwmbran Town did not progress any further because Cork City had scored more away goals in Wales.

What made the result more devastating was that Cork City only levelled the aggregate score at 4-4 on the 84th minute - securing their progress to the next round.
