IT'S game day - and it looks like being a special one for Warrington Wolves and the town as a whole.

The Wire's first competitive home game of the year sees them host Catalans Dragons tonight on a night which will also feature the "homecoming" of world darts champion Luke Littler.

For one night only, The Halliwell Jones Stadium has been renamed "The Luke Littler Stadium" in honour of the 18-year-old from Padgate, who will be parading his World Darts Championship trophy at half time.

Then, the onus will be on Sam Burgess' side to play their part and make it two wins from two for the year having beaten Huddersfield Giants in Round One.

Catalans were surprisingly beaten by Hull FC last week but have won their last three matches on Warrington soil.

Indeed, Wire haven't beaten the Frenchmen at home with fans in attendance since June 2019 - their last home win over Catalans in September 2020 was played behind closed doors during the Covid pandemic.

Below is all of the matchday info and build-up you need ahead of what is set to be a historic evening...

"The Luke Littler Stadium" - everything you need to know including when "The Nuke" will appear

Littler will lead the teams out of the tunnel before the game's 8pm kick-off and he will also re-appear with the Sid Waddell Trophy at half-time before a special parade around the pitch.

Tickets are still on sale for the game, including an offer of £10 adult and £5 under 16s tickets in the West Stand.

The club's new digital ticket services means match tickets can now be emailed directly to smartphones, negating the need for paper tickets.

An 'early bird' drinks offer of £5 for any draught beer will be in operation between 6.30pm and 7.15pm while the two new 'fan zones' - a family-friendly offering in the Brian Bevan corner and the 'BARmy Army' zone in the Jack Fish corner - will also be up and running.

Ahead of the historic clash with Wigan Warriors in Las Vegas next weekend, an Elvis tribute act will be performing on the club's new "Hoover Main Stage" in the South East corner.

All of the action will be shown live on Sky Sports, with coverage starting at 7.30pm on Sky Sports Action.

Liam Rush will referee tonight's action, with Liam Moore on video referee duty.
