Gary Neville was left red-faced on commentary during the North London Derby after demanding for Richarlison to to sent-off for what he thought was a headbutt. Arsenal were 3-2 winners at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after a high-octane 90 minutes at the Premier League summit.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (OG), Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz were on target for The Gunners in a rampant opening 45 minutes as Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min (pen) hit back for Tottenham upon the restart. However, the fight-back proved to be too little, too late after the first-half damage.

Neville found himself mic'd up for the North London Derby and jumped the gun at one would-be flashpoint in the second half - involving Richarlison and Gabriel - with the ex-Manchester United captain thinking the Brazil forward had headbutted the Arsenal defender.

Richarlison and Gabriel collided off the ball as Tottenham upped the ante in search of an equaliser. However, they were unable to snatch a share of the spoils.

Neville, who sheepishly back-tracked after getting caught up in the moment, said: "Oh he's butted him. He's got to go off. He has got to go..."

After watching the replay, Neville added: "It's a shoulder."

Neville earlier said his piece when Tottenham had two quickfire penalty appeals waved away. That double incident came before Saka netted on the counterattack, but Tottenham did eventually have a spot kick awarded, as Declan Rice kicked out and Son converted with aplomb.

Arsenal moved four points above Manchester City with victory. However, the champions now effectively have two games in hand as they continue to get down to business with Nottingham Forest.
