Glamorgan have sacked head coach Grant Bradburn following a recent charge of misconduct by the independent cricket regulator.

The club referred Bradburn to the independent body after receiving allegations of inappropriate behaviour - with Glamorgan saying they are "confident a fair and transparent process has been followed in this case".

Glamorgan added that they have a "zero-tolerance policy towards discriminatory behaviour of any kind".

The club say that the position of Bradburn, who was appointed on a three-year deal back in January, was now untenable after Glamorgan completed their own internal investigation. They added that they would be providing appropriate support to those affected.

"At Glamorgan we put the well-being of our people first and are providing support for those affected," said chair Mark Rhydderch-Roberts.

"We're incredibly proud of our track record in terms of making sure everyone who is involved with the club feel they are respected, belong and are treated fairly."

Bradburn, who represented New Zealand during his playing career, took on the role at the start of the year - replacing Matthew Maynard and Mark Alleyne, who had split the red ball and white ball duties respectively.

Prior to taking charge of Glamorgan, Bradburn had spent five years as head coach at Northern Districts, winning multiple first-class and List A trophies, before coaching New Zealand A and New Zealand Under-19s.

He later served as Scotland head coach between 2014 and 2018 before holding a number of roles with the Pakistan Cricket Board. In May 2023, he signed a two-year deal as Pakistan head coach but left after just six months after failing to qualify for the Cricket World Cup semi-finals.

This year saw Glamorgan win the One-Day Cup for the second time in four years as they held on to beat Somerset by 15 runs at Trent Bridge in September.
