Gossip: Arsenal and Spurs in for Bailly, Ramsey set for Bayern Munich
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in bringing Eric Bailly to London, as he grows frustrated at his lack of playing time at Manchester United.
Bailly arrived as Jose Mourinho’s first signing soon after he took over as manager, costing €35 million from Villarreal. That he arrived so quickly suggests that he was a player who was identified by the club rather than the manager himself, but he has since found it difficult to gain regular playing time as he has struggled for form after regular injuries.
With Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling ahead of him, Bailly has been subject of interest from both the London clubs but Mourinho is reluctant to sell a player he regards as having potential, but nevertheless wants to bring in Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly, the Daily Record reports.
The club do not want to let the player go either, meaning that it is more likely that club and manager are more likely to sacrifice Phil Jones or Marcos Rojo, though they have both been difficult to remove from the wage bill since attempts were made in the summer.

There’s more trouble on the horizon at Old Trafford, with a story in the Sun suggesting that Alexis Sanchez is at the end of his tether with life in Manchester.
After he failed to start against Manchester City, he slammed his boots on the dressing room floor and was critical of his team’s defending. Next, he spent an hour in silence in training with the Chile national team, when his colleagues played a game of football tennis.
In the Mirror, one possible replacement for Sanchez appears to have ruled himself out of a move. Paulo Dybala has made it clear that he is committed to Juventus, saying: “Right now I’m really happy at Juventus and the focus is simply winning all the titles here.”
Ramsey set for Bayern switch
The Independent believe that Bayern Munich are leading the race for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
The 27 year old had a contract offer withdrawn by Unai Emery’s side as they decided to look at other areas of the team to strengthen, and it has been confirmed by the player that he will be leaving at the end of the season.
That allows him to negotiate a deal with a foreign side from the start of the new year on lucrative free transfer wages. Bayern Munich believe that they are his likeliest destination. Bayern are currently struggling in the Bundesliga this season and recently lost Der Klassiker, and are already planning to overhaul their squad before the start of the next campaign, reports the Independent.
Juventus offered Keylor Navas
Juventus saw legendary ‘keeper Gianluigi Buffon join Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, giving Polish international Wojciech Szczesny the chance to establish himself as the club’s number one. However, as his form has struggled, it seems that Mattia Perin will be given the chance to prove his worth.
One player who won’t be joining to compete with the duo is Keylor Navas. Navas has been offered to Juventus after losing his place to Thibaut Courtois in the summer. The Serie A champions remain convinced that Szczesny is the long-term option for the club, say the Italian press.
