Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic is shaping up to be the main transfer story over the next window or two.

Every time the transfer market opens, there is always one player, one star who is featured in every single gossip column across the land.

It is Pulisic’s time to take that mantle and deal with increased speculation on a daily basis, until a decision on his future is finally made.

That future may be at Stamford Bridge, after Chelsea made their first formal approach to Dortmund for the midfielder.

Pulisic will not come cheap and Chelsea’s first offer is below the £70m that Dortmund want for the USA international, according to the Evening Standard.

The 20-year-old has 18 months left on his contract and Dortmund insist he will see out the season with them.

But Chelsea could test their resolve with an increased offer and the Bundesliga leaders will be wary of losing him for a cut-price deal in the summer.

Loftus-Cheek in demand

Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s return to Chelsea after a loan spell at Crystal Palace is not going as well as he would have hoped.

The midfielder is yet to start a Premier League game and, despite scoring five goals in six games, admitted that it is ‘tough’ when you’re not playing regularly.

But Loftus-Cheek is still in demand, Palace are one of five clubs who would happily take him off Chelsea’s hands, according to The Mirror.

Bournemouth, West Ham and Newcastle are three Premier League clubs with an eye on Loftus-Cheek and if the success fellow English youngsters Reiss Nelson and Jadon Sancho have enjoyed in Germany tickle his fancy, Schalke are interested.

Loftus-Cheek appears determined to prove he is good enough at Chelsea and learn under Maurizio Sarri, but if he still does not get a league start during a busy December, the 22-year-old will likely reassess.

United in for Sandro?

According to reports in Italy, Juventus left-back Alex Sandro has received a lucrative offer from a Premier League club – and all signs point towards Manchester United.

The Brazilian is expected to open contract negotiations with Juve, but Calciomercato say they may face competition.

Sandro’s deal in Turin runs out in the summer of 2020, meaning he could leave for a cheaper deal next summer if he doesn’t ink a new contract soon.

He is reportedly asking to become the second highest paid player at the club, behind Cristiano Ronaldo and above the likes of Paulo Dybala and Miralem Pjanic.

Left-back is hardly United’s most pressing issue, with Luke Shaw returning to the form he showed as a teenager at Southampton and looking to secure the spot for the foreseeable future.
