Gossip: Frustrated Rashford 'wants to quit Man Utd', Neymar 'excited' by United move, Liverpool 'target £90m Dybala'

Can Manchester United win anything with kids? Alan Hansen didn’t think they could in 1995/96, and Jose Mourinho hasn’t shown much to suggest he disagrees with now defunct Scot – either this season or in previous years.

Hansen was wrong, though. And Marcus Rashford reportedly thinks Jose is wrong too.

The Mirror claims the young Red Devils forward is looking to leave his boyhood club after becoming “increasingly disillusioned” with his manager’s preference for more experienced players in attack.

Rashford was said to be “gutted” at playing just eight minutes of last weekend’s derby against Manchester City, especially after firing United to victory against Liverpool last month.

But with £500,000-a-week Alexis Sanchez nailing down Rashford’s preferred position on the left side of Mourinho’s front three, the 20-year-old Englishman is likely to remain a peripheral figure for a while yet.

According to a United “source” who gave up his Monday evening to speak to the Mirror, “If Mourinho is still there next season, Marcus might not be, as he wants to start every game.”

Maybe he just needs to play for a team with a less talented squad, such as Everton or England.

Neymar prefers Man Utd to Real Madrid

To prove Rashford’s point about Mourinho’s preference for established pros, United are being linked again with Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar in the Express.

The Brazilian is apparently “excited” about a transfer to Old Trafford because he knows he would be Mourinho’s key man, whereas if he moves to Real Madrid he fears he would be Cristiano Ronaldo’s “understudy”.

United will allegedly offer PSG £130m plus Paul Pogba for Neymar in the summer, and they want to pay the former Santos star even more in wages than they pay Alexis.

Liverpool are also planning to splash some serious cash, with the Sun tipping the Reds to make a £90m move for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.

Jurgen Klopp apparently views the 24-year-old Argentine as his “long-term replacement” for Philippe Coutinho, who Liverpool have missed desperately since his £145m move to Barcelona – hardly scoring any goals at all.

Dybala bagged at hat-trick against Benevento on Saturday to edge Juve closer to their seventh successive Serie A championship. But if he’s getting bored with winning league titles there will be no better team to join than Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte could be sacked before the end of the season after another disappointing result against West Ham, says the Mail. Alternatively, Conte is “safe” until the summer as his Blues side target the FA Cup, reports the Times. Confusing. But when in doubt, ignoring the Mail is generally a wise option.

Elsewhere, West Ham striker Javier Hernandez wants to leave the Hammers in the summer because he is unhappy with being used mainly as a supersub (Mirror), Bayern Munich and PSG are keen on Newcastle’s on-loan Chelsea winger Kenedy (Sky Sports) and Watford have beaten Arsenal and Tottenham to the £1.5m signing of 18-year-old Stevenage striker Ben Wilmot (Sun).
