Greenock Juniors look to kick off 2025 in style with Finnart clash
GREENOCK Juniors will bring in the New Year by first footing Finnart FC at Springburn Park this weekend.
The Ravenscraig side will kick off 2025 as they play their part in one of only two games scheduled in the GreenVersity West Of Scotland Football League Division Three.
That will give Gary Fleming's side the chance to put some points on the board and leave their promotion rivals, of which Finnart are one, playing catch up.

The Nock have been in impressive form in the league. They are currently on a five match winning streak, having scored 17 goals for the loss of just two.
During that spell they have won playing some great football but have also been able to tough out matches when required, an important trait at a time of year when playing conditions are not at their best.
Securing another three points would start building a useful cushion between Greenock and their other promotion rivals, while also closing the gap on league leaders Thorn Athletic to just one point.
Saturday’s opponents lost 0-3 to Threave Rovers last time out but prior to that they had won three league games on the bounce.
This weekend's opponents sit seven points behind Greenock with one game in hand, so Finnart will not want to fall further behind.
Finnart have a reputation for being a difficult team to beat and the Nock will need to be composed, clever and patient in trying to break down the Springburn-based side.
They have the ability to do it and will hope to top and tail the festive period with a vital win.
Training time has been at a premium over the break, however the squad are generally in good nick for Saturday. Cammy McPhee remains a long term miss, while Ryan Corr’s luckless run of injuries has sidelined him for Saturday
Kick off for this top of the table clash is at 1.30pm, Springburn Park, Broomfield Road, Glasgow G21 3UG
Greenock are sponsored by Saveheat, Keystore Cowal View, Safer Group, The Lighthouse Bar, McGills, ARC and Blairs.
