Hamilton Accies chairman calls fan forum after 'humiliating' defeat to Raith Rovers
Hamilton Accies chairman Jock Brown has invited beleagured supporters to a Fans Forum next week amid the club's perilous position in the Scottish Championship.
The club's third defeat on the bounce in the league has left them just two points off the relegation play-off spot, despite heavy investment in the playing squad this season, which includes striker Oli Shaw who is the club's top scorer and second-top marksman in the Championship with 10 goals.

Fans have hit out on social media over recent performances and now Brown will meet with supporters at Hamilton Racecourse on February 5 to discuss the issues facing the club and how they can 'collectively address them.'
A club statement issued to fans read: "On behalf of the board of directors I want to acknowledge the sense of frustration and disappointment we all feel with regard to recent results and performances.
"Your passion and commitment to the club is vital. Like you we feel the hurt of every setback and we appreciate that expectations have not been met in recent weeks.
"On that basis we feel the time is right in these challenging times for you to have the opportunity to hear from us – and let us hear from you – about the issues facing the club, and how we collectively should address them.
"On that basis I am inviting you to a Fans Forum next Wednesday 5th February at 7pm, at Hamilton Racecourse, where we propose to have open, honest dialogue about the team, our objectives as a club and board, and the steps we are taking to move the club forward.
"Your support means everything to the players, staff and everyone at the club. Together I am determined that we shall negotiate this transitional period and emerge stronger.
"In order to comply with Hamilton Racecourse security, we would ask that you please register your admission by using the Fanbase App.
"I hope to see as many of you as possible next Wednesday evening. In the meantime may I thank you, as always, for standing by the Accies."
Hamilton play Ayr United on Saturday and could find themselves in the relegation play-off spot by the time the Forum is held, if Accies fail to win at the weekend and nearest rivals Dunfermline beat Raith Rovers.
