Harris 'wants to stay at Carlisle United'
Kadeem Harris has given a strong indication that he is ready to commit to Carlisle United for the rest of the season.
Head coach Mike Williamson says the former Sheffield Wednesday and Cardiff City man has indicated he is happy at Brunton Park.
It comes as Carlisle try to wrap up contract talks with Harris, whose short-term deal expires later this month.
Williamson sees Harris as a key part of the Blues’ fight for League Two survival with the 31-year-old attacker having impressed since joining as a free agent in early November.
Asked for an update on the situation, Williamson told the News & Star: “I'm hopeful. I'm optimistic.
“I think we're still a little bit away [from his current contract being up] but that's just the business side of it.

“He's expressed he's happy. He wants to stay. He wants to be part of it. So hopefully we get there soon.”
Harris has made nine appearances and scored two goals since arriving at United after a spell in Turkey.
He was one of three players on short-term deals with United having decided against renewing the terms of Tyler Burey and Ben Williams this month.
