Buzzing Harry Kane admits he will fulfil a lifetime's ambition by playing at Parkhead in next week's Champions League showdown.

Celtic welcome the German giants for the first leg of the playoffs with a daunting trip to Bavaria ahead of them later this month. Kane warmed up for the game by converting two penalties as Bayern eased to a 3-0 win against Werder Bremen - who sent on former Scotland star Oliver Burke for the last three minutes.

England skipper Kane has now scored 29 penalties in a row for club and country as Bayern extended their lead at the top of the Bundesliga. But he admitted he can't wait to sample the famous occasion of a Parkhead European night. He said: "I have never played at Celtic Park. But I've heard a lot about the great atmosphere. It will be a challenging game for us. I'm on a good run with scoring penalties. But a miss can happen - it's happened before. I have various options that I can use when I am taking a penalty."

But Kane was reluctant to talk about an exit clause that was uncovered last week that would have allowed him to leave for £75million in the last transfer window. He said: "I don't want to talk about that. What I can say is that I am very happy at Bayern." The closest Kane came to playing at Parkhead was when Scotland played England in a friendly there in 2014 in a 3-1 defeat. Kane won the first of his 103 England caps the following year.

Meanwhile, Rangers star Borna Barisic revealed he had Real Madrid superstar and countryman Luka Modric to thank for winning him a move to La Liga.

The Croatian international ended his unhappy spell in Turkey with Trabzonspor this week to join Leganes on loan, along with ex-Aberdeen hero Duk. And 32-year-old Barisic admitted he was delighted to finally get a chance to play in Spain's top league at this stage of his career, after a chat with Modric, who turns 40 this year.

Barisic said: "I didn't do as well as I expected at Trabzonspor so this is a nice opportunity for me. I spoke with Luka Modric for advice. And he has helped me settle in at the club. I'm delighted to be in Spain and in this league. It was an easy decision to come here.

"It happened on the last day of the transfer window, but when I spoke to the club officials I saw that they wanted me. I wanted to come to a quality La Liga team and the club seems like a family to me where everyone knows each other I came here because I feel I can play at this level. I'm ready to help the team. I can't wait to play for the club."
