I heard what Sunderland insiders said about Amad and Enzo Le Fee - it's blown me away
Enzo Le Fee's arrival at Sunderland has already been a huge success. The Frenchman may have only appeared a handful of times for the Black Cats but he has wowed fans and pundits with his silky skills.
The attacking midfielder was a January transfer window signing by head coach Regis Le Bris, who was delighted to reunite with his former protegee. Le Fee signed on loan from AS Roma until the end of the season with an obligation to make the transfer permanent if Sunderland get promoted.
The fee could be as much as a club record £19million but that already looks like a bargain as the playmaker has instantly impressed Sunderland staff at the Academy of Light with his performances in training. He showed he can do it on the big stage as well, with a man of the match performance in the 3-2 win over Middlesbrough on Monday night.

Le Fee set up the winning goal after a sensational touch took him past Luke Ayling before a wicked cross was diverted into his own net by Ryan Giles. It capped a brilliant display by the 27-year-old.
Sunderland fans have been used to great attacking play in recent years. Under Tony Mowbray, they entertained fans with the wing play of the likes of Jack Clarke, Patrick Roberts and on-loan star Amad Diallo, who showcased the ability which has seen him emerge as one of Manchester United's key men on his return to Old Trafford.
Le Fee could end up being an even bigger hit than Amad, and former Sunderland striker Michael Bridges says that club insiders can't believe how good the Frenchman is. Bridges was working as a Sky Sports pundit during the Middlesbrough game, and shared what he had heard from inside the Black Cats’ camp.
Before kick-off, Bridges said: “I've been speaking to the staff at the football club - they've been suitably impressed and he’s only been here a short time.
“They're basically saying it looks like he's streets ahead of the other players and on a different wavelength. Amad was mentioned, he was at Sunderland a few years ago, now at Man United. He just had something special, and that's what he [Le Fee] has brought.”
And Bridges was again effusive in his praise for Le Fee after the match during his post-game summary. It wasn't just Amad he compared the playmaker to, but another Sunderland old boy, Chris Waddle.
“We talked about him before the game, like I said, a lot of the staff and the players were so excited about what he had shown in his training sessions, and I think we witnessed tonight what he is capable of doing," added Bridges. "He’s won the man of the match award, on his birthday, and there’s a lot more to come.
“Regis Le Bris, once again, has signed an absolute diamond there for Sunderland. It’s players like that that excite me. When they get the ball, all eyes are on them. You get excited, they get you off your seat. I was a big fan of Chris Waddle back in the day, he excited me, and this lad tonight, wow.”
