Hibs boot out Rocky Bushiri transfer bid from Zamalek as stopper to see out season at Easter Road
Hibs have turned down an offer from Zamalek for Rocky Bushiri and he will see out the season at Easter Road.
Record Sport revealed how the Easter Road side have already rejected rival offers from Belgium and the Middle-east over the last week. The Egyptian giants are the latest side to try their luck but they have also been left disappointed.
Hibs have made it clear that they won’t let Bushiri go, as they have nobody to come in and replace him. The 25-year-old is aware of the situation and is set to see out his contract at Hibs, which runs out at the end of this campaign. A source close to the deal said: “Yes, there was interest and an offer was made. Nothing will change anymore between now and the end of the season.”
The DR Congo international has been a major player in Hibs’ recent revival. Bushiri had initially been deemed surplus to requirements under David Gray, preparing his side for Friday's Scottish Cup tie against Ayr United, but has established himself as a key figure under him in recent months.
