Hollywood star poses in Rangers jersey and shares snaps to 35m Instagram followers
Hollywood star Shay Mitchell has sent Rangers fans into a frenzy after being spotted wearing the team's jersey on holiday.
The Pretty Little Liars actress - who plays Emily Fields in the hugely popular TV series - shared snaps of her family trip to Australia on Instagram last night. Mitchell, 37, was enjoying some time Down Under with her two daughters and partner Matte Babel. And as she marked the end of her vacation, the Canadian stunned Scottish followers by donning a Gers strip in her final photo dump.
Mitchell - who also starred as Peach Salinger in Netflix hit You - posed in the glorious Australian sunshine as she pulled on the 2021-22 home kit, which the Light Blues wore during their famous Europa League Final run to Seville. After sharing not one but two pictures of her in the royal blue jersey to her 35.7million followers on Instagram, Rangers fans were quick to flood her comments.

One buzzed: "Omg Shay wearing a Rangers strip! We all knew you had good taste, but this solidifies it!" Another beamed: "Supporting SIMPLY THE BEST team." A third raved: "Shay Mitchell in a Glasgow Rangers top? QUEEN."
Of course, her choice of clobber didn't go down well with her fans on the other side of Old Firm divide. One wrote: "Why'd you have to pick literally the worst team in Scotland's jersey?" Another said: "Shay!! Wrong team!" And this follower laughed: "Noooo Shay, what are you wearing? I thought you had better taste than this."
Rangers fans may be puzzled by the TV star's support for the Ibrox club. But Mitchell may have a soft spot for the Glasgow giants through her dad, who she previously revealed is "half-Scottish, half-Irish". She isn't the only celebrity who has been snapped in a Gers shirt in recent years.
Love Island TV host Maya Jama was also spotted wearing the club's top a few years ago, while telly chef Gordon Ramsay, WWE superstar Drew McIntyre and singer Amy MacDonald are all well-known supporters.
