Wrexham's Racecourse Ground has become the place to be seen since the club was bought by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

A whole host of celebrities, including several Hollywood A-listers, have been to watch the Red Dragons in action over the last few years.

The most recent visit saw actors Channing Tatum and Brendan Sklenar and Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong stop by to see Phil Parkinson's side in action.

It follows a global spotlight being shone on the club by the Welcome to Wrexham documentary, which charts their meteoric rise under Reynolds and McElhenney.

The VIPs have enjoyed some memorable moments on the pitch as Parkinson has taken his team to successive promotions from the National League to League One.

Here WalesOnline looks at the stars Wrexham can now count among their supporters.

Will Ferrell, David Beckham, Jason Sudeikis, Kit Harington, Blake Lively, Kaitlin Olson

One of the first celebrity visits occurred away from the Racecourse as Wrexham took on Bromley in the FA Trophy final at Wembley in May 2022.

Reynolds and McElhenney don't do things by halves and they were joined at the game by a swathe of megastars.

As well as their actress wives Blake Lively and Kaitlin Olson, Will Ferrell and David Beckham were also in attendance.

Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington and Ted Lasso leading man Jason Sudeikis completed the line-up.

While the game ultimately ended in disappointment as Wrexham lost 1-0, it did not deter some from coming back.

Ferrell showed up in February 2023 to watch the club beat Wealdstone 3-1 at home during their successful National League promotion push.

The 'Elf' funnyman also went into the dressing room to meet the players and popped into The Turf pub for a pint.

Lively rocked up at the Racecourse in March 2023 to watch Wrexham play York.

Meanwhile, Beckham watched this season's clash between Wrexham and Birmingham at St Andrew's in a more neutral capacity as a guest of NFL legend and Blues minority owners Tom Brady.

Emma Corrin

The Crown star Emma Corrin witnessed a thrilling encounter on Easter Monday in 2023 as Wrexham beat title rivals Notts County 3-2.

Emma, who played Princess Diana in the fourth season of the Netflix series, was sat with a friend to cheer on the club as Ben Foster saved a last-minute penalty to seal all three points.

McElhenney's co-stars from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" were at the Racecourse shortly after for Wrexham's win over Yeovil Town as they closed in on the title.

Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton arrived before the match to tour the ground with McElhenney, along with his wife Kaitlin Olson, who he started dating while on the set of the popular sitcom.

They were joined by Megan Ganz, who writes and executive produces the sitcom, which follows the adventures of a group of friends who run a dive bar in South Philadelphia.

Paul Rudd and Joe Russo

Paul Rudd was in town as Wrexham's sealed the National League title against Boreham Wood.

Rudd, who has starred in films such as Anchorman and Ant-Man, arrived at The Turf pub and enjoyed a pint with locals before the match.

Another Hollywood star, film director Joe Russo, was also there but managed to stay under the radar.

Russo has directed many Marvel films including Avengers and Captain America films

Wrexham's return to the Football League was watched by Reynolds' close friend Hugh Jackman as they lost 5-3 at home to MK Dons in August 2023.

Jackman's attendance at the League Two fixture came as the Australian actor was working alongside Reynolds on "Deadpool & Wolverine".

Jackman was also been snapped at a number of high-profile sporting events around the same time, including the Wimbledon men’s final.

Adam Richman

Man vs Food presenter Adam Richman chose a more low key fixture as an interested spectator at the Wrexham v Newcastle United Under-21s EFL Trophy match in September last year.

He even had time for a few beers in the Turf after watching the Red Dragons defeat the Premier League youngsters 1-0.

Kevin Feige

Marvel boss Kevin Fiege arrived in December 2023 to see Wrexham take on Colchester United in a 2-1 win for Parkinson's side.

Feige is the president of Marvel Studios and the primary producer of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Jenny Ryan

Quiz show star Jenny Ryan was in attendance as Wrexham lost at home to Tranmere Rovers in March of this year.

Ryan, mainly known for her role as 'The Vixen' from The Chase, shared a selfie on social media showing her in the stands wearing a Wrexham scarf and hat.

Following Wrexham's promotion from League Two, Eva Longoria watched the opener of their current season in August from the owners' box.

The actress, best known for her role as Gabrielle Solis in Desperate Housewives, saw the club beat Wycombe Wanderers as they kicked off their League One campaign.

Longoria is part owner of Mexican top flight side Club Necaxa, who Reynolds and McElhenney invested in earlier this year, in return for a five percent stake in Wrexham.

Jason Watkins

Line of Duty and Des actor Jason Watkins stopped by the Racecourse in September as Wrexham beat Crawley 2-1.

Watkins' link with the club actually pre-dates the takeover after he played pre-season games for Wrexham's youth side as a teenager.

He previously shared a picture of himself and Hold the Sunset co-star John Cleese wearing the club's shirt.

Watkins met with Wrexham's Disability Liaison Officer, Kerry Evans, to learn about her role during his recent visit.

Channing Tatum, Brendan Sklenar and Billie Joe Armstrong

The latest celebrity appearance was a big one as Reynolds surprised locals when he turned up at a pub in the town with his actor friends Channing Tatum and Brendan Sklenar.

Patrons of the Fat Boar pub in Wrexham were stunned when they arrived ahead of the Red Dragons' game against Cambridge United.

They were later joined by Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, who made a surprise showing in The Turf fanzone.

The “American Idiot” singer reportedly told one fan his band would be very keen to play in at the Racecourse.
