'Honestly' - Man City get Omar Marmoush transfer update
Frankfurt would not confirm that Omar Marmoush will be in their squad for a game on Tuesday as negotiations with Manchester City continue.
Marmoush started and scored for the Bundesliga club at the weekend but the Blues are hoping to seal a deal for the 25-year-old forward sooner rather than later. Talks are ongoing with Frankfurt over a price for Marmoush and their director Markus Krosche could not rule out that the player has potentially played his last game for the club, even if he will be in the squad to face Freiburg until he isn't.
“I can’t answer that 100%. I say that quite honestly," he told Sky Germany. "The goal, as I have always said, is that we want to keep this team together. So far I don’t see anything out of the ordinary.”

City are looking to increase competition among their forward line after selling Julian Alvarez in the summer without replacing him. Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish both provided goals and assists in the FA Cup win over Salford City at the weekend, and Pep Guardiola said that all of his attackers need to produce consistently to take the burden away from striker Erling Haaland.
"They have to score goals, and assists and goals, and assists and goals, otherwise you have to rely on just the goals with Erling Haaland it's impossible," he said after the 8-0 thrashing.
"The biggest club that win the championship, and won the championship in the league, it was the strikers who scored the goals with Sergio, Gabriel Jesus, with everyone, but Riyad, and Leroy, and Raheem and Gundogan. There were a lot of players who scored a lot of goals, and we need that, otherwise we cannot sustain."
