ROADLESSTRAVELLED can win the William Hill Formby Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race) (1.05pm) at Aintree Racecourse on Boxing Day.

Jonjo and AJ O'Neill's five-year-old can continue his unbeaten start and land the Grade One festive feature at the home of the Randox Grand National. Roadlesstravelled has won all three starts since joining the O'Neills at Jackdaws Castle having grabbed a three-mile point-to-point success at Taylorstown when trained in Ireland by Rob James. Following a smooth success on his debut, when scoring by just under five lengths at Market Rasen in October, Roadlesstravelled landed a similar success in a Novices' Hurdle the following month at Wetherby before landing a first Grade Two victory in the Betfair Supporting Gambling Week Newton Novices' Hurdle at Haydock Park later last month.

Although it hasn't all been foot perfect – Roadlesstravelled has hit a couple of hurdles in his wins – he has generally been very quick and slick over the obstacles and has won comfortably in all his three starts. He steps up into Grade One company for the first time and faces similarly progressive rivals like Nigel Twiston-Davies' Potters Charm and the Sam Thomas-trained Celtic Dino, who are both similarly unbeaten over hurdles. But on that Haydock success, Roadlesstravelled looks good enough to make it four in a row at the other Merseyside track.

The O'Neills may also triumph with RED DIRT ROAD in the William Hill Offers Top Price Guarantees Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race) (1.40pm). The lightly-raced seven-year-old – a winner at Exeter in March last year – made a pleasing return to action at the start of this month when fifth to To Chase A Dream over 2m1f. Stepped back up to two-and-a-half miles Red Dirt Road may be able to land a belated second success over obstacles.

IMPERIAL SAINT can bounce back to land a hat-trick of wins at Aintree in the William Hill Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap Chase (GBB Race) (12.30pm). The Philip Hobbs and Johnson White-trained six-year-old impressed when landing back-to-back two-mile successes at Aintree on his first two starts over fences on Old Roan Chase day in October and on BoyleSports Grand Sefton Handicap Chase at the famous Liverpool track at the start of last month. He disappointed when bidding for a hat-trick of wins when only seventh of nine behind General Medrano at Newbury towards the end of last month. But back at Aintree and stepped up in trip to 2m4f he can resume winning ways ahead of chiefly Donald McCain Junior's course and distance winner Richmond Lake.

Merseyside-born, Cheshire-based McCain could have a winner at his 'home' track with OLD BLUE EYES in the finale, the William Hill More Top Prices Open National Hunt Flat Race (Class 1 Eliminator) (Go North Jodami Series Qualifier) (3.25pm). The four-year-old won on his debut when landing a similar bumper to this at Sedgefield at the end of last month. He can make it two from two on Merseyside.

Trainer Olly Murphy and championship-chasing jockey Sean Bowen may grab a double at Aintree with IKARAK in the William Hill Committed To Top Prices Handicap Chase (Challenger Staying Chase Series Qualifier) (2.15pm) and BOOSTER BOB in the William Hill Cheltenham NRMB January 1st Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (GBB Race) (2.50pm). The former scored at Warwick on his seasonal return over hurdles last month and the ex-French chase winner may be able to follow-up on his first start over fences since finishing second at Fontwell in April 2023. Booster Bob won on his chasing debut at Ffos Las in October and has had wind surgery since his third at Warwick last month. The six-year-old can make it two wins from three starts over fences at Aintree.

Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero's CRYSTAL GLANCE – from another Cheshire stable – can land a third win on his fifth start over obstacles in the William Hill BOG Is Back mares' Handicap Hurdle (Challenger Mares' Hurdle Qualifier) (11.55am).

At Kempton Dan Skelton's GREY DAWNING can win the Grade One feature, the Ladbrokes King George VI Chase (GBB Race) (2.30pm). The seven-year-old can land a first victory at the top level in open company in the Boxing Day feature. Grey Dawning was a Grade Two winner over hurdles and took the switch to bigger obstacles in his stride, winning three times in six starts last season. The highlight of his successes, though, was his victory over 2m4f in the Grade One Turners’ Novice Chase at the Cheltenham Festival when the gelded son of Flemensfirth got the better of his Paul Nicholls-trained rival Ginny’s Destiny, scoring by two lengths.

Grey Dawning couldn’t bring up the Grade One double in the Close Brothers Manifesto Novices’ Chase at the Grand National Festival the following month. But after his summer break he ran a fine race on his return to action only to be pipped on the run-in by dual winner Royale Pagaille in a gruelling Betfair Chase at Haydock last month. But with that run under his belt Grey Dawning can come out on top of what looks a wide-open renewal of the King George with Irish raiders, Jimmy Mangan's Spillane's Tower and the Henry De Bromhead-trained Envoi Allen, as well as French star Il Est Francais, the three biggest dangers to the selection.

If CONSTITUTION HILL is back to something like his best on his belated return to action he should land a third straight victory in the Grade One Ladbrokes Christmas Hurdle (GBB Race) (1.55pm). Nicky Henderson's seven-year-old looked like one of the all-time greats as he notched up eight straight wins including at the top level at Cheltenham, Aintree, Newcastle and in this race for the past two seasons. But he hasn't run since his victory in this 12 months ago and had his return to action at Newcastle in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle curtailed due to another setback. But it is hoped that he can return to his brilliant best and land another win at the top level.

THE JUKEBOX MAN can win the Grade One Ladbrokes Kauto Star Novices' Chase (In Memory Of Nigel Clark) (GBB Race) (1.20pm). The Ben Pauling-trained six-year-old was impressive when landing a Grade Two success on his chasing debut at Newbury last month. And he can take the step up into Grade One company in his stride and make it two from two over the big obstacles.

Others who can win at Kempton are Gary and Josh Moore's recent Newbury scorer HERMINO AA in the Ladbrokes Get Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap Hurdle (3.40pm); the Kim Bailey-trained hat-trick-seeking EL RIO in the Ladbrokes Boost Your Odds On Racing Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (GBB Race) (12.45pm); and Henderson's hurdling debutant KIENTZHEIM in the Ladbrokeslive.Co.UK Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race) (3.05pm).

At Wetherby SOME SCOPE can win the William Hill Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase (Premier Handicap) (GBB Race) (1.35pm). Richard Hobson's six-year-old won twice over fences around this time last year at Catterick and Doncaster. He made a pleasing return when fourth in the Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle last month and he has a progressive profile and can land a third win over fences in eighth start.

Others who can triumph at the West Yorkshire track are the McCain-trained GRAIN D'OUDAIRIES in the William Hill Lengthen Your Odds Handicap Hurdle (2.10pm); Mark Walford's WILLASTON in the William Hill Betting TV Handicap Hurdle (Go North Sea Pigeon Series Qualifier) (2.45pm); Olly Murphy's DOUBLE OBAN in the William Hill Extra Places Every Day Handicap Chase (3.20pm); and MARLACOO, from the Tom Lacey stable, in the William Hill Epic Boost Novices' Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race) (1pm).

In Ireland at Leopardstown Gordon Elliott's CROKE PARK can win the Grade One Racing Post Long Distance Novice Chase (2.20pm).
