Horse Racing Tips: Punters to be in the black if backing Red

Wetherby 13:50 – Born to be alive 4/1 – 1pt
Born to be alive has been smashed by the punters, he opened up at 14/1 last night and is now as short as 3/1 in places. He’s a half-brother to Hurricane Lady who won three times at 1m. He’s got a decent pedigree, and given the surprising amount of support it would be silly to overlook.

Wetherby 14:20 – Red Royalist 6/5 – 3pts
Placed in all three of his starts he’s another to have attracted the punters by the thousands. The 3yo has been the most popular bet on Oddschecker so far today. The ground and trip should suit him perfectly and all signals point to him being the bet of the day.

Kempton 14:30 – Pleasure Dome 9/4 – 2pts
Looked to face two impossible tasks in juvenile hurdles so far to date so should be entitled to improve for a much easier task and for the step up in trip with first-time cheekpieces today. These calmer waters should see her make a bold bid for a maiden success.

Kempton 15:35 – Magic Bullet 3/1 – 2pts
Nico de Boinville is back on Nicky Henderson’s 6yo for his only ride of the day. Three lacklustre performances in novice hurdles can be ignored with today’s step up in trip likely to suit. His powerful connections have a tremendous record at the course and this doesn’t look the strongest race in terms of quality.
