Gossip: Inter 'prepare £35m Mane bid', Chelsea 'target Drinkwater', Liverpool 'want Lemar'
This should be a glorious transfer window for Liverpool. They’re back in the Champions League, with oodles of money to spend, and a manager so sexy that every footballer in the world wants to play for him.
But it’s not glorious at all. Instead of building a side with title-winning capabilities, the Reds have spent their time fending off advances for their best players, having bids rejected for their top targets, getting caught in tapping up scandals and being outspent by Everton. Literally, Everton!
And it’s not getting any better. Because the latest player linked with a departure from Anfield is last season’s most lethal attacker, Sadio Mane, who the Express says is wanted by Inter Milan.
