Huddersfield Town player ratings as Hogg shines but Sorensen struggles in Birmingham City loss
Huddersfield Town slipped to a second successive home defeat, losing 1-0 to League One leaders Birmingham City.
Winger Keshi Anderson was the hero for the Blues. His 49th minute strike stretched their unbeaten run to 16 matches across all competitions. Anderson chested the ball down before unleashing a dipping 20-yard volley that looped over Jacob Chapman. It was a strike winning any game of football.
The Terriers huffed and puffed but created few clear-cut chances. Matty Pearson went closest to grabbing a late equaliser, steering his header from Antony Evans' corner over the bar.

Here is how we rated the players:
Jacob Chapman 6
Was not forced into a meaningful save in a scrappy opening 45 minutes. Had no chance with Andersen's dipping 20 yard volley. Punched well under pressure from some corners. Solid distribution.
Matty Pearson 6
Gave as good as he got against Dykes. Won his fair share of aerial duels. Nodded over Evans' corner late on. Struggled playing out from the back.
Tom Lees 6
Made some important headers and clearances to keep Birmingham at bay. Taken off in the closing stages after suffering a nasty facial injury.
Brodie Spencer 6
Had his hands full with Laird. Was yellow carded after crudely bringing down the right-back just outside Town's penalty area. Kept going.
Lasse Sorensen 5
A rusty display. Found it difficult to get forward and provide the width down the right flank. Was too slow in closing Anderson down for Birmingham's opener. Looked off the pace.
Herbie Kane 6
Lashed a 20-yard volley wide after Birmingham only partially dealt with an Evans corner. Grafted hard with little reward. Was taken off the before the hour mark.
Jonathan Hogg 7
Here, there and everywhere. The skipper led by example in the midfield engine room, superbly breaking up play and disrupting Birmingham's rhythm. Did not deserve to finish on the losing side.
Antony Evans 6
His deliveries from from set pieces were more miss than hit. Kept trying to make things happen. Has yet to find his best form in a Town shirt.
Ruben Roosken 7
Looked assured on his first start for the club. Whipped in a peach of a cross for Charles' early chance. A lively, energetic showing.
Dion Charles 6
Could have put Town ahead but headed Roosken's pinpoint cross straight at Allsop when well-placed. Put a hard-working shift in. Needs a goal.
Callum Marshall 6
Made a nuisance of himself and led the Town press. Faded after the break and made way for Healey.
Substitutes
Joe Hodge (57, 5)
Buzzed around and saw a right foot volley go inches off target near the end.
Ollie Turton (57, 5)
Seamlessly slotted in at right wing back.
Josh Koroma (60, 6)
Tried to get Town going but did not produce a moment of magic to unlock Birmingham's stubborn defence.
Bojan Radulovic (72, 6)
Was busy and held the ball up well on a couple of occasions.
Rhys Healey (72, 5)
Did not get much change out of the visitors defence.
Radinio Balker (88, n/a)
Unused subs: Lee Nicholls.
