Huddersfield Town transfer round-up as defender joins ex-Terriers boss Darren Moore at Port Vale
Huddersfield Town defender Jaheim Headley has joined League Two outfit Port Vale. The wing-back leaves the Terriers after making 54 appearances for the club, including 13 in all competitions this season.
Headley signed for Town in 2017 from the Mass Elite Academy, and had loan spells with Bradford (Park Avenue), Hyde United, Welling United, Yeovil Town and Harrogate Town during his time with the Terriers.
The defender joins a side that sit sixth in the League Two table, with Headley reuniting with former Town boss Darren Moore at Vale Park. The terms of the transfer have not been disclosed by either club.

“Jaheim has shown flashes of his ability at first team level, but hasn’t found the consistency required to play as regularly as he would need to continue improving. By allowing him to leave, he now has that opportunity,” Town’s sporting director Mark Cartwright told his club’s website.
“A graduate of our academy, that is no small achievement, and we’re proud of the journey Jaheim has gone on during his time with us. Departing with the best wishes of all at the club, we wish him all the very best for the future.”
Head coach Michael Duff added: “Jaheim has remained professional throughout our time at the club, despite seeing his chances in the side become limited. This is a move that is in the best interest of all concerned.
“With clear potential, he needs regular minutes to realise that, which he isn’t in a place to get here. We wish him all the best at his new club and in his career going forward.”
Moore has expressed his delight over being reunited with Headley. "Having worked with Jaheim throughout my time at Huddersfield Town, I am aware of the qualities that he will immediately bring to our squad; I am delighted to get the deal over the line so early on in the transfer window," Moore told the Port Vale website.
Meanwhile, Town forward Kyle Hudlin has had his loan at fellow League Two outfit Newport County extended until the end of the season. The striker has netted four goals in 20 appearances during his time at Rodney Parade to date.
