Huddersfield Town need 'upgrade' as forward calls for improvement
Huddersfield Town forward Josh Koroma acknowledges that his side need to work on “trying to upgrade” their chances following their 1-0 win at Shrewsbury Town in midweek.
The Terriers backed up Saturday’s 2-1 Yorkshire derby victory at Barnsley with another win at New Meadow on Tuesday, with Koroma netting the winning goal for Town eight minutes from time.
Reflecting on his side’s midweek victory, Koroma told BBC Radio Leeds: “We knew coming here it was going to be a tough place, they beat Wrexham and Birmingham here, so we knew it was always going to be a tough game.

“We knew we’d get more chances in the second half, it was just about taking one of those chances.
“I think it’s a collective thing, me included, we’ve got to work better on finding the final pass, final shot, trying to upgrade our chances, maybe not shooting from as far out, but all that really matters is getting three points, which we did today.”
For the winning goal, Koroma arrived at the back post to meet Antony Evans’ low cross, and fired the ball high into the roof of the net from close range.
Looking back at his strike, the forward added: “I saw the play developing, and we’ve been talking about all week, we need to be getting more bodies in the box, so it’s kind of just a gamble thing. It was a great ball from Evo, and then I was there to tap it in.
“I thought ‘just hit the target’, because I had a chance before that and obviously missed the target, so I was thinking ‘next one I get just make sure I hit the target’, and luckily it went in.”
