Hull City have big transfer decision to make over Manchester City man
Hull City have a decision to make over Manchester City loanee Finley Burns once the January transfer window opens on Wednesday, according to head coach Ruben Selles.
Burns came off the bench in the final minute of City's hugely important 1-0 win at Blackburn Rovers on Sunday, as Selles' side ended 2024 with a second Championship win in three games courtesy of Ryan Longman's winner 13 minutes from time.
The 21-year-old replaced Abu Kamara in stoppage time with City trying to hold onto a first away win since October 1, but it was his first appearance under Selles and only outing since playing the final six minutes in the 3-1 win at Stoke City on September 20.

Since joining from the reigning Premier League champions, Burns has started just one game, playing only 84 minutes of football in the Championship and 70 in the Carabao Cup, and discussions have been held with the player, and his parent club over what happens in the second half of the season.
City need to free up valuable space in their squad, and are evaluating the loans of Burns, Carl Rushworth and Chris Bedia, along with the future of other members of Selles' dressing room to see if they can move players out to allow them room to bring new faces in.
"The situation with Finn is a very (interesting one)," Selles told Hull Live when asked what the future holds for the former Stevenage loanee. "It's a situation that we are monitoring every day. As a person and as a player, he works really hard and is very honest for us. That's why he had his opportunity (at Ewood Park) because he has been pushing, pushing, pushing to get those moments.
"That (his future) is something that we are evaluating with him also, and we will do what is the best for the club and the best for him," the Spaniard added.
