Boss Ruben Selles will have no shortage of selection dilemmas when he gets around to picking his Hull City starting XI to take on Stoke City at the MKM Stadium.

City's latest biggest game of the campaign sees them take on the Potters, who are still looking for their first win under Mark Robins and dropped a place below the Tigers last weekend, though the pair are separated by only goal difference.

Last Friday night's terrific 3-0 success at Sheffield United has again raised expectations that Selles' side can guide themselves away from safety after three straight-away wins, but at home, the landscape is altogether different, given they haven't managed three victories at home all season.

The Tigers have won just twice in front of their own supporters, while the Potters are dismal away from home with only two wins of their own. In a bid to earn a first home success in 2025, Selles' squad will have another new face.

Louie Barry is expected to be involved after his move from Aston Villa was confirmed in midweek, and skipper Lewie Coyle will return to the fold after missing the last two games after picking up that horrible ankle gash in the first half of City's 1-0 win at Millwall.

Another of the new arrivals, Lincoln, was omitted from the squad at Bramall Lane but after a full week of training, he'll be pushing for a place in the matchday squad for the first time, and Selles will also face a tricky decision elsewhere.

Matty Jacob came off the bench to score a crucial goal in Sheffield and looked solid at left-back after Sean McLoughlin moved inside to his more natural central defensive berth, while Eliot Matazo looked bright when he came on early in the second half. Does he stick with Matt Crooks and Kyle Joseph, or does he opt to recall Joao Pedro, having rested him.

So many decisions for the manager, and good decisions. Despite being without Liam Millar, Mohamed Belloumi, Charlie Hughes, Kasey Palmer and Oscar Zambrano, the Tigers boss is not short of options.

City's predicted starting XI: Pandur, McLoughlin, Burns, Jones, Drameh, Alzate, Matazo, Crooks, Gelhardt, Kamara, Pedro.
