Hull City favourite Steven Alzate highlights key area for improvement
Steven Alzate says it's imperative Hull City try and find some momentum in a season where they've struggled for that, and consistency in results.
The Tigers have only managed successive wins once this season, and that came all the way back in late September and early October when City, under Tim Walter, won three in a row.
Since then, it's been the picture of frustration with every good result backed up with a disappointing one, and that was the case again on Saturday when City were beaten 2-1 at home by fellow strugglers Stoke City, on the back of their impressive 3-0 victory at Sheffield United.

That infuriating lack of consistency and ability to put a run together has left Ruben Selles' side perched just one place above the Championship's drop zone with 16 games of the season to go.
Their defeat to Stoke followed the pattern of so many MKM Stadium games this season, where they've created chances, not taken them and then been punished for some below-average defending at the other end and have been beaten, often by teams they should not be losing to.
While their form at the MKM Stadium has been nothing short of disastrous, it's been a very different story away from home with three wins on the spin at Blackburn Rovers, Millwall and then Bramall Lane. They'll need to be at their best next Wednesday when they face Burnley at Turf Moor, but putting a successive run of results together this term has been nigh on impossible, something Alzate says must change.
"It's a disappointing day at the office, especially when you've controlled most of the game and created chances," Alzate told Hull Live. "We're creating chances, but if you're not taking them, it can come back to haunt you. For the first goal we just lost a bit of concentration, the second goal kind of just fell to their player in the right place and we have to bounce back.
"I feel like that's what we've been struggling on, just building momentum, that's the main thing, winning a few games on the bounce, that's something that will just bring relief to everyone a bit especially because the table's so tight, a few games can just make you climb the table. That's something we need to work on, to just try and aim to build momentum and a few wins."
While results at the MKM Stadium continue to see City embroiled in a relegation battle, Alzate's form has caught the eye and he's become a firm favourite on the terraces, with fans adopting the Cranberries' hit, Zombie, for the Colombian.
"On a personal note, it's very nice," the 26-year-old said. "Obviously whilst I'm playing, I could hear it in the background, even though I'm focused on the game, I could still hear it. It's a nice little chant and I appreciate all the fans."
