Hull City playmaker's frustrating season discussed after latest injury blow
Burak Yılmaz is desperate to see Abdus Omur have some good luck at Hull City after his latest injury setback hampered any hopes of making a positive impression under Ruben Selles.
Abdus has struggled to make an impact in the Championship since his move from Trabzonspor last January. While there were positive signs last term, the playmaker has found it tough to pin down a place this term under Tim Walter and now Selles, and finds himself well down the pecking order after a flurry of January arrivals.
The 25-year-old Turkish international has been hit by another setback after a spell out with a sickness bug during the festive period, picking up an injury to his meniscus inside his knee, which will keep him sidelined for a period, and sat out the latest outing when City won 3-0 at Sheffield United on Friday.

That injury setback comes amid continued speculation that he's seeking a return to Turkish football before the window closes there on February 15, though no formal interest has been lodged yet, and much-travelled former player and manager Yilmaz hopes Omur's luck turns soon.
"We were always together with Abdulkadir Ömür on my second visit. He lived in my house. He is a very dear brother. He is a very valuable person as a religious whole, as a human being," Yilmaz said.
"Ömür received transfer offers from important clubs in Europe. When I was playing, very important clubs wanted him. As the team captain, our president Ahmet Agaoglu called me and I told him he definitely had to go. Manchester City, Monaco and Sporting.
"He received offers from Lisbon. He was supposed to go to one of these teams. I knew that a player from Trabzon could go backwards when he didn't go. Although he won the championship, he was broken because he was too emotional in the face of criticism. When it breaks, it is in a situation where it should not go Hull City. I don't see him well right now. I hope it will catch a breakthrough again."
