Hull City have completed their second transfer deal of the day, with striker Henry Sandat joining Sutton United on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.

Steve Morison, the former Millwall frontman, has moved quickly to bring in Sandat who spent the first half of the campaign on loan at National League rivals Wealdstone, with that loan cancelled to open up his move to Sutton - the pair meet in the league on January 15.

The 19-year-old, who joined City's academy from Southend United in the summer of 2023, has endured a difficult season with the strugglers, scoring just once in 14 appearances, with that solitary goal coming against AFC Fylde.

Since joining City from the Roots Hall outfit, Sandat was a regular for the Under-21s and was named on the bench for the first team game against Doncaster Rovers in August last year, but leaves without making a senior appearance for the Tigers, having penned an initial two-year deal at the MKM Stadium with the option of a third.

During his spell at City, Sandat returned to Southend for a loan spell last season before joining Wealdstone on loan back in early August.

Sandat's exit follows on from the return of Brandon Fleming, who spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Sunday's FA Cup opponents, Doncaster, but will now return to City before being loaned out again to one of Rovers' League Two rivals.
