Hull City make surprise transfer decision over out-of-favour defender
Hull City have taken steps to recall Brandon Fleming from his season-long loan spell at Doncaster Rovers ahead of the two clubs meeting in the FA Cup third round on Sunday.
It is understood Fleming will be loaned out to another League Two club this month, with it unlikely that he will return to Ruben Selles' squad and compete for a place alongside Matty Jacob and Ryan Giles, while the Tigers are also looking at boosting their ranks across the back-line during January.
The 25-year-old, who emerged through the Tigers academy, is out of contract at the end of the season and it's expected he will make a permanent move away from the club he joined at the age of nine.

After making his Rovers debut against Newport County on August 17, Fleming has gone on to play 20 times under Grant McCann's stewardship this term, playing in the EFL Trophy and FA Cup for the club, as well as making 17 appearances in League Two for a Rovers side who sit seventh, occupying the final play-off spot but given how congested the table is, just two points off the automatic promotion spots.
His recall will come as a blow to McCann ahead of Sunday's 12pm kick-off at the MKM Stadium, as he looks too cause a second cup shock at City in successive seasons, having knocked the Tigers out of the Carabao Cup early last season.
