Hull City swoop to sign Louie Barry on loan from Premier League side Aston Villa
Hull City have completed the loan signing of attacking ace Louie Barry from Aston Villa for the remainder of the Championship campaign, which is another major boost for the Tigers in their quest to move away from relegation danger.
Barry was a man in demand after netting 15 times in 23 games for Stockport County in League One in the first half of the season, and was wanted by a host of clubs in the Championship, as well as Celtic in the Scottish Premier League, as first reported by Hull Live earlier this month.
It is City, however, who have clinched a deal to bring the 21-year-old to the MKM Stadium. He could make his debut on Saturday as the Tigers go in search of three huge points against fellow strugglers Stoke City.

Owner Acun Ilicali held high-level negotiations with Villa chief Nassef Sawiris in a bid to push a deal through, and the youngster underwent a medical in London on Tuesday afternoon and will train with his new teammates for the first time on Thursday ahead of Saturday's game.
As part of the deal which has seen Barry arrive at City, the ex-Barcelona youngster has also penned a new long-term contract at Villa Park. But the Tigers are understood to have held initial talks about him returning on a season-long loan next season, providing things work out for all parties over the next few months.
Ilicali and Sawiris have developed a strong working relationship in recent months following the Jaden Philogene deal 18 months ago, with both him, and Villa boss Unai Emery delighted with the progress Philogene made at City, and it's hoped Barry can follow in his footsteps.
After arriving from Villa Park in a £5m deal, Philogene returned last summer after the Premier League outfit activated their buy-back clause at Emery's request before selling him to Ipswich Town earlier this month. Ilicali has also done a permanent deal with Villa to get Diego Carlos to Fenerbahce, further underlying their strong ties.
The exciting forward arrived at Villa Park in the winter of 2020 from Barcelona after joining the Catalan giants from West Brom, but he's only made one senior start, though that did come against Liverpool in the FA Cup in 2021., and he scored. Since arriving at the Villa, Barry has had loan spells at Salford City, MK Dons, Ipswich Town and Swindon Town before his double-stint at Edgeley Park.
