Hull City transfer exit confirmed as £2m forward secures loan move
Hull City playmaker Abdus Omur has completed his move away from the MKM Stadium, bringing an end to another short-lived career in East Yorkshire, for now, at least.
The 25-year-old has moved back to Turkey to join Çaykur Rizespor on loan for the remainder of the season, though it’s understood there is no option or obligation to buy in that short-term deal brokered by owner Acun Ilicali.
Omur was one of last January’s high-profile signings when he joined from Trabzonspor in a deal worth around £2m on a contract until 2027. But the Turkish international has struggled to make an impact at City, and joins the Rize-based club who sit 10th in the Super Lig, a point clear of his former club Trabzonspor.

Brought in during Liam Rosenior’s tenure, Omur showed glimpses in the second half of last season as the Tigers pushed in vain to try and snatch a play-off place.
This season, however, the left-footed performer has found it difficult to pin down regular football, starting the season under Tim Walter largely on the right side rather than his more preferred central role before falling down the pecking order since Ruben Selles arrived in early December with illness and injury playing a part.
In total, Abdus played 37 times for City, clocking up three assists but failed to get on the scoresheet in black and amber with his final appearance this term coming in the defeat at home to Middlesbrough on New Year's Day.
