Hull City's Championship relegation chances assessed as Louie Barry transfer claim made
Former player turned pundit Don Goodman believes Louie Barry can be the catalyst to spark a recovery from Hull City in the final weeks of the season.
Barry made his debut off the bench last Saturday as City were beaten 2-1 at home by Stoke City, a result which left the Tigers frustrated after winning 3-0 at Sheffield United the weekend before. The forward will be hoping for more action at Burnley on Wednesday evening with the Tigers gunning for a fourth consecutive away win for the first time in their history.
Ahead of the latest round of Championship games, City sit a point and place above Derby County, though the Tigers have a game in hand over the Rams, who sacked Paul Warne on Friday and look set to appoint John Eustace.

The signing of Barry was another eye-catching one from the Tigers after bringing in the 21-year-old attacker from Aston Villa. One of eight arrivals in the winter window, including John Egan, Joe Gelhardt, Matt Crooks and Eliot Matazo.
City will hope Barry can rekindle the stunning form which saw him net 15 times in 23 games for Stockport County in the first half of the season, albeit in League One. And Goodman feels the Tigers are stronger than their rivals, the majority of which they still have to play in the final 16 games.
"Hull City look to have done some good business," Goodman told OLBG. "I expect Hull to start climbing the table and move away from the relegation zone. They've got decent players and, on paper, are stronger than those teams currently around them. (Louie) Barry will have to play a key part with goals and assists and, I would expect over the course of 16 games, he'll be a hit with the supporters."
