Hull FC will face the winners of York Acorn and Oulton Raiders in the third round of the Challenge Cup. The two Yorkshire amateur sides will meet this weekend in the second round, with the winner facing a fairytale tie against the Black and Whites.

Acorn defeated GB Police 52-4 this Sunday, while Oulton won 28-12 against London Charges in the capital. Both clubs are members of the National Conference League, with the winner becoming Hull’s first community club opposition since Ellenborough in 1998.

Elsewhere, local amateur side West Hull are now just one game off an incredible tie against St Helens, with the Green and Golds defeating Edinburgh Eagles 90-0 at Johnny Whiteley Park. They play Hunslet ARLFC in the second round, with the winner hosting the Saints. Meanwhile, Leeds Rhinos will face the winner of London-based Wests Warriors and the British Army, while amateur side Dewsbury Moor will take on Dewsbury Rams.
