Hull FC reach ticket milestone for Wigan Warriors clash as target set
Hull FC have sold over 10,000 tickets for their home Super League opener against Wigan Warriors later this month. The Black and Whites host the league and world champions on Friday 21 February, with the club hoping for an attendance around the 14,000 mark.
The round two clash will be new head coach John Cartwright’s first home game in charge of the club. The side begins competitive action in the Challenge Cup against York Acorn this weekend before heading to Catalans Dragons a week on Friday.
The MKM Stadium then takes centre stage, with Hull putting on two ticket offers for the game. Members can purchase two extra tickets for £10, while all junior tickets are free with a paying adult—and subsidised by new club owners Andrew Thirkill and David Hood.

The club has sold over 1,000 tickets from the two offers so far, with over two weeks still to go before the clash. They are also approaching 8,000 members despite a turbulent season last year that saw Hull win just three out of 28 games. They have a 90% retention rate.
Meanwhile, Hull’s last two league openers have been bumper crowds at the MKM Stadium, with 20,014 coming through the turnstiles last year for the first meeting against Hull KR. In 2023, 15,383 saw Hull defeat Castleford Tigers in the opening round.
