Hull KR fans are already enquiring about the possibility of more tickets for the first derby meeting of the 2025 season against Hull FC on Good Friday.

The Black and Whites will host the Robins at the MKM Stadium for the traditional Easter clash on Friday 18 April, with Rovers, who are expecting another big season under Willie Peters, anticipating a large following across the river Hull. And with away tickets set to be in hot demand, the club’s Supporters Council has already discussed the possibility of more tickets being made available.

The Robins were allocated the north stand for both MKM Stadium derbies last year, with blocks around the northeast corner also made available as per Hull City’s away segregation for football matches.

Rovers fans were not able to purchase tickets in the home sections of the MKM Stadium due to crowd trouble in the 2023 Easter clash. That saw bottles thrown from the west stand upper into the west lower, injuring fans in the process in what was a high-profile incident.

The 2023 incident will likely see Hull operate the same ticketing system once again, with home sections only able to be purchased by those who have created a Hull FC ticket account in the last three years.

It also means tickets will be hard-pressed for some Hull KR fans, with the club confirming that derby tickets will likely be served on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.’ Commenting at the latest meeting, Paul Lakin believes it is ‘unlikely’ that more tickets will be made available beyond the original allocation, which is set around 5,000. The CEO commented: "Unlikely (to get more tickets), as that could be perceived as losing a home advantage if this was brought in."

Rovers will meet Hull twice during the 2025 season. The reverse fixture at Craven Park is scheduled for Sunday 7 September. Hull FC will have an allocation of 816, as confirmed by Rovers club figures at November’s council meeting.
