Hull KR and Wakefield Trinity set for immediate player swap deal
A swap deal between Hull KR and Wakefield Trinity is in the works that will see the clubs trade young talent. Rugby League Live can reveal that an agreement which will see Noah Booth join the Robins and Neil Tchamambe head the other way on permanent deals is in advanced discussions and is expected to be concluded today.
Rovers had identified outside back Booth as a transfer target for the 2026 season, with the 20-year-old among the younger talent the club wants to add to their roster next year. Those talks had started already, and it now appears the club will be able to secure a deal earlier than anticipated following discussions with Trinity.
Wakefield want winger Tchamambe, an England academy representative who signed for Rovers from Leeds Rhinos ahead of the 2024 season. The 19-year-old has been training with Willie Peters' first-team squad since but he now looks set for a new challenge having yet to make his professional bow for the club.

Booth is currently on a season-long loan to Championship side Hunslet and it's believed that arrangement will remain in place, however, he will be able to train with Rovers during the week, allowing the coaching to start working on his development immediately. Booth played for Wakefield in their Boxing Day game against Leeds Rhinos, scoring a try.
Last year, Booth played nine games for Wakefield as they won the Championship and the 1895 Cup. As for Tchamambe, he also played in the second tier last year, making two appearances for Whitehaven and scoring one try.
