All Out Rugby League can reveal that process has now started, with youngster Lennie Ellis heading to League 1 for the start of the season. 19-year-old Ellis is heading to Goole Vikings on a short-term loan in a move which will see him add to his collection of senior appearances at the start of his career.

Ellis, who has transitioned from halfback to hooker recently, will link up with the newly-introduced League 1 club after they were accepted into the professional ranks ahead of the new campaign. Ellis made his Hull KR debut in 2023, featuring for the club against Wigan the week before they featured in the Challenge Cup Final. Since then, his first-team opportunities have come away from the club, with Ellis featuring in the Championship last year for Cumbrian club Whitehaven.

The Yorkshire Academy representative played in the Amsterdam Challenge, coming off the bench during the pre-season defeat to York Knights. He will continue to train with Willie Peters' squad during the loan spell.

Further loan deals are expected to be found in the coming weeks for other players the club want to find first-team opportunities.
