Hull KR's seven-figure Craven Park investment with big improvements announced
Hull KR supporters will return to an improved Sewell Group Craven Park on Friday after a stack of renovations and improvements took place in the off-season. Rovers have invested a seven-figure sum into the stadium and surrounding areas since supporters last got a chance to watch Willie Peters' side in action, with changes ranging from big to small
The headline development has been a temporary stand that has been built as an extension of the East Stand, which provides an additional 1,000 seats as the club looks to tackle soaring capacity issues. Rovers, who have seen membership sales boom again this year, sold out the home allocation of all their games last season, with that expected to remain the same this year.
That has increased the capacity beyond 11,000, but there are other additions that fans will spot on Friday evening.

Craven Streat has become a key component of Rovers' matchday experience and that has been expanded this year, despite the new temporary stand eating into the initial space taken up by the fan area. That has been facilitated by the demolition of the old terrace on the South Stand, allowing for additional depth to the area. That has resulted in an extended food court and additional space for people to enjoy the atmosphere.
The club has invested in a new LED system which will see advertising boards run across three sides of the pitch and the big screen has been elevated. Beyond that, the club has bought new software which will allow supporters to have better interactions with the screen, with fans now able to send photos and messages which will be seen on the screen.
Rovers have also listened to supporters and worked to improve their bar areas, with a focus on providing a quicker service this year. Till points for drinks have been doubled around the stadium and there is now a wider range of alcoholic drinks on offer. Now, supporters can purchase Alpacalypse IPA, Guinness Draught, ABK, spirit and mixer cans, prosecco and wine. A cocktail bar will make its way to Craven Streat later in the year too.
And finally, much to the delight of many, Rovers have added more toilets! In the East Stand and Craven Streat areas, there are now three times as many as there were at the end of last season.
