Hull KR's warm-weather training camp comes to an end on Monday and with it, the culmination of a productive ten days for Willie Peters and his players.

Hull Live was on hand for part of the trip, here are some insights that we picked up on during our time with the group.

The JWH effect
For understandable reasons, the excitement is palpable around East Hull as the debut of Jared Waerea-Hargreaves gets closer. The Sydney Roosters icon is not only one of the biggest signings in Hull KR's history, but arguably in Super League's, with his career speaking for itself.

And his influence behind the scenes is already paying off. One player I spoke to during the trip spoke about how his presence has subconsciously resulted in the rest upping their standards, such is the respect that he commands.

I can't say word for word what another told me as it isn't for a family audience, but put diplomatically, Waerea-Hargreaves' intensity day-to-day has seen some players receive some tough love during sessions which many believe will make them better players.

And during a team meeting I sat in, Waerea-Hargreaves was offering regular input and praise. He will obviously be judged on his performances on the field, but his contributions are already there to see.

Injuries
Always a big one for the off-season bit it's so far, so good, for Hull KR. Barring Sam Luckley, who is still recovering from post-season wrist surgery, everyone is training and on track to feature in round one.

As is always the case in pre-season, some players are nursing niggles and being pulled out of sessions to protect them, there is nothing of significant worry to Rovers right now, beyond Luckley of course, and they hope that will continue.

Louix Gorman has speed
During a running session that we cast our eye over, the speed of the Ireland international didn't go unnoticed. Two players were leading the way, Joe Burgess and Gorman, with the latter showing some particularly impressive speed.

Gorman will be hoping for another productive year after spending time in the Championship last year and the plan is thought to be the same this time around. Rovers have been quite open about the fact that they need some of their young talent to break their way into first-team plans and hopefully come 2026, Gorman is one of those in the running.

Zach Fishwick
Speaking of youngsters, keep an eye on Fishwick this year. Since breaking through as a 17-year-old we've not seen a great deal of him but he has made plenty of progress away from the limelight, improving all areas of his game.

With a stacked middle unit this year, his first-team opportunities may be limited again but keep an eye out for him playing in the Championship this year, it could well be a big year for him.
