Iliman Ndiaye leaves pitch in tears as Everton injury crisis grows
Everton’s most influential player left the Goodison Park pitch looking distraught after his Merseyside derby ended prematurely.
Iliman Ndiaye hid his face in his shirt as he hobbled off midway through the first half. His body language suggested he was devastated.
It was a major blow for Everton, who like Ndiaye had started well. When the Blues took the lead through Beto it was Ndiaye who had won the free-kick that started the move, the Senegal international taken out by Alexis Mac Allister on the halfway line.

Even after the Liverpool midfielder equalised, Ndiaye caused issues. His game ended after being caught from behind by Dominik Szoboszlai. After dropping to the turf and receiving treatment he attempted to play on, only to collapse to the grass moments later. Jack Harrison replaced him.
The injury was a significant setback for David Moyes, who will now be sweating on the fitness of the playmaker, who has won over supporters with his dazzling skills.
Moyes already has key players Dwight McNeil, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Orel Mangala among a long list of players who have suffered long term injuries.
