Illan Meslier Leeds United transfer latest - Ligue 1 'interest', Daniel Farke's verdict and stance
Illan Meslier was once again in the spotlight for the wrong reasons during Leeds United's 3-3 draw with Hull City.
Daniel Farke's side let slip a 3-1 lead in the Championship and eventually had to settle for a draw - allowing promotion rivals Burnley to close the gap to just one point. The manner of the goals left fans frustrated, with the finger again pointed at Meslier.
The number of errors from the 24-year-old has led to talk that a change could be made in goal for the rest of the campaign. Meslier has been the Whites' number one choice for the bulk of his four-and-a-half years at Elland Road.

It is unlikely to be a busy month on the transfer front for United. However, if Meslier left, a new goalkeeper would surely come in. With that in mind, LeedsLive has taken a look at the latest surrounding Meslier.
Ligue 1 interest and Leeds 'stance'
According to the Daily Mail, Leeds would be 'open' to selling the French shot-stopper this month. His current form is said to be a 'concern' for the club.
After a howler against Sunderland earlier in the season, Meslier was at fault for two goals during the 3-3 draw to Hull City last weekend where the Whites let a 3-1 lead slip away late on.
Reports claim French Ligue 1 club Rennes are keen on a move for Meslier despite his disappointing form.
Farke's response
Speaking about Meslier's current form, Farke has refused to criticise the goalkeeper publicly. "I would be a poor leader if straight away I punished individual mistakes here in public or in a press conference," he said. "The players can't hide behind the fact that they should have done better in this situation.
"Yes of course [it’s different making changes between the sticks] because it's not like after one or two mistakes you change. If a winger is poor you substitute. There are a few positions when you don't change that quickly like you would for a winger or full-back. A goalkeeper or perhaps centre-back, these are different. [But] there is no rule that a player is not dropped. If my captain doesn't deliver, or a centre-back, a goalkeeper, a striker, it's not like if you score own goal after own goal and I say no he's an MVP he stays in the team.
"I don't like to do finger pointing or speak about individual performances. The players know themselves they should have done better and right now I don't like to speak about team selection. We all take lots of praise, salary, whatever, you can't just take the positives, you have to handle when there's criticism, you're judged by performances. No one can take this away."
Future claim
Under contract until the summer of 2026, Meslier has previously refused to make plans for his future away from Elland Road. "It would be a mistake to project oneself so far," he said.
"For now, I have a contract until 2026. Officially, I still belong to Leeds. I will have to think about what could be the best project, be that at Leeds or another club."
Dropped value
Meslier’s value has dropped from €18 million (£14.94m) at the start of the summer to a current value of €16 million (£13.28m), according to Transfermarkt. Both of those figures are significantly lower than his peak value of €22 million (£18.26m) in November 2022.
