Andy Baetens reckons he can add to his list of Luke Littler wins as he goes head-to-head again with the World Champion.

The Belgian star faces the teenage sensation tonight as the first round concludes at the Winmau World Masters and it's not the first time. Baetens qualified for the event through Wednesday’s Preliminary stages and posted a ton-topping darts average in his last 16 thumping of Darius Labanauskas, The 35-year-old now has Littler in his sights again having revealed he’s detonated The Nuke on several occasions in the past.

Baetens said: “In the Modus Super Series, I beat him four times. My opinion is that he’s the best in the world, so we will see.”

Nicknamed The Beast from the East, he blew away the opposition in qualifying with his win over Labanauskas impressive. He added: “It was a very hard day, I played very well, so I’m proud for the performance. He played 97 average, so I’m happy.

“Last year was hard for me. Lots of good players, but now I think I’m a little bit better and I have practiced a lot, so will see.”

Baetens, who won the 2023 WDF World Championship to make him the first from his country to win a world title, came through PDC European Q-School last year to earn a two-year exemption.
