Fresh images of Manchester City's North Stand expansion have been released, along with new details of the hotel that forms a key part of the £300m development.

City have joined forced with Radisson Hotel Group to unveil the hotel that will open along with the North Stand upon completion. The 401-room hotel will be called The Medlock and will open in late 2026.

News emerged this week that the 7,000-seat expansion to the North Stand will begin test events in January 2026, with this latest update on the hotel offering a further timescale into the complete development.

The new images of the hotel, built at the back of the North Stand also show a covered fan zone, museum and office space. And the pictures seem to show a roof walk between two huge spires at the top of the stand which have been erected recently.

City's investment in the stadium will also tap into the music fans attending the neighbouring Co-op Live arena as part of their aims to make the Etihad Campus a year-round destination as well as just on matchdays.

So far, CGI images have only been released of the inside of the stadium and wider shots from outside. Now, the hotel mock-ups offer a clearer insight into how the external features of the development will look for fans.

The new stand will also include rail seating, hospitality seating, a food hall, tickets ringfenced for younger fans, breakout spaces, religious rooms and alcohol-free areas.

Fans have raised concerns over the make-up of tickets available in the new stand as wider issues around season tickets continue to accompany the roll-out of the development. No ticketing information has yet been released, although at least 800 seats will be for hospitality guests.
