WARRINGTON Wolves have moved their training away from the cold weather and into the sunshine for this week as they undertake a pre-season camp in Tenerife.

It promises to be a big week for Sam Burgess and his squad, with a few days of uninterrupted training with a near-guarantee of being unhindered by the weather.

And while there, they will be using the world-class facilities at Tenerife Top Training – a regular base for Super League clubs including Warrington themselves in the past.

Located in La Caleta near the popular Costa Adeje, The Wire’s home for the week includes a full-size rugby/football pitch as well as state-of-the-art gym facilities, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and tennis and padel courts among other mod coms.

From that trip, two players remain in the squad – centre Toby King and prop Joe Philbin.

They are not the first Super League team to visit this year, with rivals Hull KR having used Tenerife Top Training for their own camp earlier this month.
