The combined Waterfront team secured a draw in one of their three games, losing another at Hamilton Ice Rink and conceding a peel in their third tie against a Lanarkshire Select.

The Waterfront teams now face an anxious wait to find out the outcome of the remaining regional matches before they know whether they'll progress to the next stage.

They currently sit second in the West Region table, a point behind leaders Stirling, albeit having played ten fewer ends.

They sit out on their own in front of Greenacres and Lanarkshire.

Those matches will determine their overall position in the competition, with the winning ice rink from each of the regional leagues qualifying for the knockout stages.

A run deep into the competition could see the Inverclyde side face the likes of Dundee, Inverness, Stranraer or Ayr.

Those knockout ties will then decide the national champions and who'll be crowned as the winners of the Morton Trophy.
