Taunton Titans have confirmed that Isaac Dalton has returned to the club and is available for selection against Camborne at the weekend.

Isaac was successful during his previous spell with the club, being named National League 2 player of the year, Taunton RFC player of the season and being named in the all time TRFC team. He also was the top try scorer for Taunton in the 2019/20 season.

Isaac said: “When I stopped down at the end of the season, Yappy (head coach Tony Yapp) reminded me that the door would always be open for a return, having had some time away.

“I’ve come to realise how much I’ve missed playing for Taunton and am really looking forward to getting back involved.”

Tony Yapp said: “We’re really excited to have Isaac back with us for the second half of the season, his proven quality on the field and character off it, will be a real boost to the squad.”

The Titans face the league leaders Camborne at Veritas Park on Saturday (January 11) as the side return to action following the Chtistmas break.

The Titans have been sitting on the disappointment of the defeat to Hornets on December 21 and the side will be itching to make up for the defeat against the league leaders.

Camborne however are currently top of the league and won the last two games before Christmas against Redruth and Deveonport Services. They put 70 points on the board against Devonport.

The sides met in September in Cornwall at time when Taunton Titans were arguably still adjusting to the new level having been relegated the previous season and Camborne won 58-25.

The return match takes place at Veritas Park on Saturday. Kick off is 3pm.

Taunton Warriors – the club’s seconds team – are also inaction on Saturday as they travel to face Old Redcliffians Seconds. Taunton Warriors are currently in sixth place and are hoping to build momentum in the second half of the season, starting with Old Redcliffians Seconds.
