Jürgen Klopp is set to take charge of his final match. After facing Wolves, the Reds boss will leave Liverpool and take a break, though he hasn't necessarily retired.

While there is a chance Klopp could return to the dugout after his sabbatical, he has made one thing clear - it will not be with another Premier League club. "If you ask me, ‘Will you ever work as a manager again?’ I would say now no," Klopp explained to Liverpool's official website when the shock decision to step away was first announced.

"But I don’t know obviously how that will feel because I never had the situation. What I know definitely – I will never, ever manage a different club in England than Liverpool, 100 per cent. That’s not possible. My love for this club, my respect for the people is too big. I couldn’t.

"I couldn’t for a second think about it. There’s no chance. This is part of my life, we are part of the family, we feel home here. There’s no chance to do that. But all the rest, will I ever work again? Of course, I know myself, I cannot just sit around."

It seems unlikely that Klopp will be able to stay away from the game forever. After refreshing himself with a holiday and some time with his family, there will be no shortage of options to come back to soccer again.

"I will find something else maybe to do," he said. "But I will not manage a club or a country at least for a year. That’s not possible. I cannot do that and I don’t want to."

Liverpool.com says: It is impossible to imagine Klopp representing any other Premier League side. He wouldn't want that, quite clearly. It is hard to see him at many other club sides, either, though. Perhaps he could return to Borussia Dortmund but the most likely option, even after Julian Nagelsmann signed a contract extension, is that he takes over the German national team.

No matter what happens at the European Championship in the summer, Nagelsmann is destined to take a club job again sooner rather than later, and there won't be someone in the national hotseat for too long. As soon as there is a vacancy, Klopp is the obvious pick.
