The end is near for Jürgen Klopp at Liverpool. Just one game remains for the German in charge of the club following Monday’s 3-3 draw at Aston Villa.

Klopp will get the chance to say his goodbyes on Sunday, and it seems he’s taking every moment to enjoy his last days with the Reds, having been spotted at Anfield on Tuesday. Elsewhere, there’s a wild claim about what transfer business Liverpool might do after Klopp’s departure, when Arne Slot and new sporting director Richard Hughes will have plenty of work on their hands. Here is your latest round-up of Liverpool news.

Ahead of his farewell game, a video has emerged on social media showing Klopp at Anfield. The footage shows the Liverpool boss standing on the halfway line by himself, looking toward the Kop. Another image shows him standing in the famous stand as he takes in his surroundings.

Speaking after his final away game at Aston Villa on Monday, Klopp praised the club’s supporters said: “I enjoyed it always, I enjoyed it today. I appreciate so much what these boys and girls are doing. The away fans are always like absolutely insane what they did, where they were. We have asked them to travel a lot over the years.

“It was and is a wonderful relationship. I always try to show my appreciation, and today the boys showed that as well with the way they played.

“I still don’t feel like it’s the last time, I know it is but it just doesn’t feel it. I am obviously more professional than I thought, because I was completely in the game, I didn’t think a second about it being my last away game, I had no movie going through my head, nothing. I was completely in the game.”

Liverpool 'launches $130m bid' for Rodrygo

A Spanish reporter has wildly claimed that Liverpool has made a huge offer to sign Real Madrid star Rodrygo this summer. With Kylian Mbappé expected to make the move to the Bernabéu after confirming his PSG exit, there have been rumors around the futures of the Los Blancos’ current stars.

Rodrygo in particular has been linked with a move away, seemingly with his place in the side the most at risk from Mbappé. Liverpool is one of the clubs being linked to his services, with the latest claim suggesting a sensational $130m (£103m/€120m) bid has already been made.

Spanish outlet Fichajes quotes El Chiringuito reporter Eduardo Inda as saying: “The bidding club is Liverpool and the player is a player very similar to their style. We are talking about a Real Madrid winger and it is Rodrygo. Real Madrid’s refusal is emphatic because the board likes him a lot.”

We can probably safely put this in the ‘not going to happen’ pile. The chances of Liverpool splashing out that much on a forward this summer, when there are other areas of the squad that need tending to first, are surely slim to none.
