What is your view on Celtic selling Kyogo?

ANDY NEWPORT: It all depends on whether they can find a replacement. There’s talk Mathias Kvistgaarden is the man they want. If they can get a deal done it could be a shrewd bit of business.

FRASER WILSON: Good business if they have a replacement lined up. Extremely risky if they don’t get a suitable replacement before the end of January. Kyogo was one of a kind and a big game player. If he wanted away then there was no point standing in his way with Champions League progression secured and £10m is a good deal.

SCOTT BURNS: It is a difficult one because Kyogo Furuhashi always wanted to go to one of the top five leagues. He was denied a move in the summer but now is the time to maximise their money.

Should Jack Butland keep his place in the side?

ANDY NEWPORT: He’s certainly no longer the undroppable figure he was last year. At that stage it looked like he was set to join Allan McGregor and Andy Goram in Ibrox’s list of goalkeeping greats. But he’s been nowhere near those levels lately. If he can’t find his form Liam Kelly deserves a run.

FRASER WILSON: I was surprised he was thrown straight back in for such a big occasion. Liam Kelly had been performing well enough. However to backtrack and drop Butland now would look weak and he has to respond positively.

SCOTT BURNS: Jack Butland will keep his place but he should be looking over his shoulder. His form this season was poor even before his injury.

Will Aberdeen go on a winning run after their Scottish Cup victory?

ANDY NEWPORT: It’s too early to say. The Dons were always favourites to see off Elgin. Stephen Robinson’s well-drilled St Mirren will be a tougher challenge but if Thelin’s team can win, it can give them the injection of confidence they badly need.

FRASER WILSON: It simply has to. They have a great opportunity at home to St Mirren now. The Dons have to stop the rot or they will miss out on Europe and after that sensational start that would be a disaster.

SCOTT BURNS: It has to be a catalyst. The Dons need to win to turn up the heat on the European front. I think they will get the win against St Mirren.

How will Ben Kensell's time at Hibs be remembered?

ANDY NEWPORT: As an utter failure. The former Norwich exec arrived in Edinburgh the summer after Jack Ross’ team finished third and reached a Scottish Cup final. Since then, they’ve finished eighth, fifth and eighth after burning through four bosses. Hibs fans will be glad to see the back of him.

FRASER WILSON: Hibs fans would rather forget it! Nice upgrades to the stadium do not cover up failure on the park. Four manager sackings in three years says it all. It’s been constant turbulence in Leith but HIbs finally appear to be getting their act in order.

SCOTT BURNS: It was a bizarre appointment from the start. He is another in Scottish football who has tried to talk the talk but was unable to walk the walk! Hibs have gone back the way under him.
