Betting odds favored Saquon Barkley to be the first player to score a touchdown in the 2025 Super Bowl. Instead, it ended up being the second-favorite to score first.

Jalen Hurts opened up the scoring between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs with a brotherly shove on Philadelphia's second drive to put the Eagles ahead 7-0 in the first quarter.

Hurts was +650 at BetMGM to score the first touchdown, coming in just behind Barkley at +400.

His touchdown almost didn't happen, as the play that proceeded it was a 28-yard completion to Jahan Dotson that was originally ruled a touchdown. After review, Dotson was ruled down at the 1-yard line. It would've been a huge upset, as Dotson was +6600 to score first.
