James magic, Palmer brilliant but Caicedo makes mistake - Chelsea player ratings vs Bournemouth
Chelsea rescued a late point at home to Bournemouth with captain Reece James scoring a 95th minute free-kick.
Cole Palmer opened the scoring early on at Stamford Bridge with a fantastic goal. Some brilliant work from Nicolas Jackson set his teammate up, who was as composed as you get to sit Mark Travers down before slotting the ball into the net.
However, the second-half saw a spirited fightback from the Cherries. Justin Kluivert converted from the penalty spot after Moises Caicedo brought down Antoine Semenyo. It was then Semenyo who scored what looked to be the winning goal later on.
However, in the 95th minute, James slotted home a beautiful free-kick into the bottom corner to rescue a point for the hosts at the Bridge.
Below, Bobby Vincent of football.london assess and rate the performance of each Chelsea player...
Robert Sanchez - 6
Gives the ball away in the first-half and almost paid the price. Does make a good save in the second-half to deny David Brooks. People may say he should not concede at his near post for Bournemouth's second goal but it is such a rocket from Semenyo that I think you have to let him off.
Moises Caicedo - 6
Gives away a penalty early in the second-half. Poor challenge from the Ecuadorian.
Josh Acheampong - 6
Cool and composed as he made his second successive Premier League start. He could have done better for Semenyo's goal but there is no doubting Chelsea have a real player there in Acheampong.
Levi Colwill - 6
Another solid performance from the centre of defence for the England international.
Marc Cucurella - 6
Solid. Consistently offering Jadon Sancho an option on the overlap which allowed the winger to move inwards.
Romeo Lavia - 7
First Premier League start in over a month. He was able to break through Bournemouth's high press quite a lot, which may have been a big factor in the midfielder starting for the first time in over a month in the Premier League. Subbed on 56 minutes.
Enzo Fernandez - 7
Involved in everything good, it seemed, from an attacking point of view. His performance level had slightly dropped in recent weeks but the Argentine was back to his brilliant best.
Noni Madueke - 7
Started brightly. Does really well to set Jackson up on 33 minutes and the striker should have given Madueke an assist.
Cole Palmer - 8
Superb. He looked on it from the very start. The finish is a joke. A joke but one you are not surprised by.
Jadon Sancho - 7
Continued his strong link-up play with his close friend Palmer. He's looking really confident at the moment - and he demonstrated that with a double nutmeg in the first-half.
Nicolas Jackson - 6
Truly outstanding for the opening goal of the game. Somehow evades challenges from three players on the halfway line and plays an inch-perfect pass to Palmer. Missed too many opportunities in front of goal again, though.
Reece James - 8
On early in the second-half. Scores a 95th minute free-kick to equalise for Chelsea! What a moment.
Tosin Adarabioyo - 6
On in the 71st minute for Acheampong.
Pedro Neto - N/A
Late sub.
Joao Felix - N/A
See above.
